Welcome to Year 3,
This page is to provide you with key information regarding Year 3 at Wilbury Junior School. If you are unsure about anything, please come and speak to your child's class teacher or teaching partner.

We also have Miss Bullen (French), Miss Warby, Mr Fox and Mrs Spencer who will be supporting learning across both classes at certain times of the day.
The Curriculum:
Throughout our curriculum, we promote and support children in developing a growth mindset. This is where we ask all children to have a positive attitude towards everything that they do and that they always try their best. You can use the link at the bottom of the page to find out more about our curriculum and what the children will be learning throughout the year.
Homework:
The homework expectations are that your child reads at home at least three times a week and that their Reading Record is signed by an adult. Children should access Times Tables Rock Stars regularly to have around 1,000 coins by the end of the week. All homework should be completed and ready to be checked by Friday morning of each week.
PE:
Ruby and Crimson Class have PE on Tuesday and Wednesday. Children can come to school in their PE Kits these days. The school PE kit is a red school jumper, white polo shirt, black shorts or black jogging bottoms with trainers. Stud earrings if worn, must be removed independently and cannot be worn at all during PE lessons.

Welcome to Year 4
This page provides you with key information about Year 4 at Wilbury Junior School. If you are unsure about anything, please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s class teacher or teaching partner.
Year 4 Team
- Aqua Class: Mr Kelly is the class teacher. Miss Cadwallader is the teaching partner.
- Azure Class: Mrs Arends is the class teacher. Miss McCandless is the teaching partner.
Our PE Days

Aqua & Sapphire – Monday and Thursday
Don’t forget to make sure you wear the correct PE kit to school on your PE days.
Please be mindful that one of your child’s PE sessions will be outdoors, so children should be dressed appropriately for the weather.
The PE kit is:
- Red school jumper
- White polo shirt
- Black shorts or black jogging bottoms
- Trainers
Homework Expectations
Homework Expectations
Our homework expectations are as follows:
- Children are expected to read a minimum of three times per week, which must be recorded and signed by an adult in their reading record.

Children will need to ensure they reach their target of 1,000 coins on Times Table Rockstars (TTRS). This must be completed by Friday, when adults will check progress. Regular practice will help build your child's confidence and fluency, as they will take their Multiplication Tables Check at the end of Year 4.

Year 5 Team
Emerald: Mrs Hill and Miss Hill

P.E Days
Jade and Emerald will both have P.E on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Please make sure your child wears the correct P.E kit to school on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The P.E kit is a white polo shirt, black shorts or black jogging bottoms and trainers. Children should also wear their school red jumper on cooler days.
Homework Expectations
Children will need to read a minimum of three times a week. Please record and sign in their reading record.
Children will need to play Times Table Rockstars regularly every week. Children will need to reach their target, usually 1000 coins, every week.
All homework will need to be completed by Friday, when teachers or teaching partners will check this has been completed.

Our PE days are:

Our homework expectations are as follows: Children will need to read a minimum of three times per week, which will need to be recorded and signed by an adult in their reading record. Children will need to ensure they reach their target for TTRS coins using Times Table Rockstars. All homework must be handed in by a Friday, when adults will check this has been completed.
Children will have weekly revision to complete via an online platform to support them in their learning later in the term.
