SEND at Wilbury Junior School
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
At Wilbury Junior School, we value the abilities and achievements of all our pupils and are committed to providing an inclusive learning environment where each student can shine. We believe that every pupil has unique needs, and while some may require additional support to reach their full potential, we have high expectations for all. We acknowledge that a significant proportion of pupils will experience special educational needs during their school career. To support their diverse needs, we employ various interventions, regularly reviewed to ensure optimal outcomes. Together, we believe that with the right support, every student can achieve success and shine brightly.
From the 1st September 2014 the Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice: 0-25 years came into force, replacing the 2001 SEN Code of Practice. We have put together detailed information about our arrangements for identifying, assessing and making provision for pupils with SEN in our SEN Information Report and SEND Policy.
If you have any questions about our provision, please contact our SENCo Miss Gaitely via the school office or email at senco@wilbury.herts.sch.uk.
Our school SEN Information Report forms part of the Hertfordshire SEND local offer. The Local Offer sets out the information, support, services and activities that are available in the local area for families, children and young people aged 0-25 with SEND. We understand that Wilbury School's SEND Report covers a wide range of needs and we would be more than happy to discuss your child’s individual needs in more depth.
