Phonics at Wilbury
At Wilbury, it is our aim to provide children with the skills necessary to be able to read confidently and fluently and to be able to access information throughout the curriculum. Following the updated list of approved phonics schemes of learning, we are using the Little Wandle for phonics at Wilbury. In Year 3, children needing additional support are taught in small group sessions using this synthetic programme.
